SMARTER BALANCED (SBAC) TESTS (Common Core Aligned) 
Computer based tests in English Language Arts and Math.

NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards) Test for Science

In the 2019-20 school year, California will federally require the  CA NGSS general assessment in grades five and eight and high school. Since the adoption of the Next Generation Science Standards for California Public Schools, Kindergarten Through Grade Twelve (CA NGSS) in 2013, the California Department of Education has developed the California Science Test (CAST), which is aligned with these standards.

ELPAC (English Language Proficiency Assessments for California)
Students in kindergarten through grade twelve whose home language is not English are required by law to take an English skills test. 
This test helps identify students who need to improve their skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing in English. It is given each year to students who are still learning English.
Testing Window is February through May.

PFT -  Physical Fitness Test

The physical fitness test (PFT) for students in California schools is the FITNESSGRAM®. The main goal of the test is to help students in starting life-long habits of regular physical activity.

Students in grades five, seven, and nine take the fitness test. The test has six parts that show a level of fitness that offer a degree of defense against diseases that come from inactivity. The test results can be used by students, teachers, and parents.
